With 99 contestants having completed their “launching” performance, Mnet’s new survival reality show “Girls Planet 999” has officially entered its first mission. In the round called “Connect Mission”, the contestants will have to form a group to perform songs of 7 famous groups and win the opportunity to advance to the next rounds.
99 “Girls Planet 99” contestants will be divided into 33 Cells – each cell includes 1 Korean contestant, 1 Chinese contestant and 1 Japanese contestant. In the “Connect Mission” round, every 3 Cells will form a Team (9 contestants) to perform 1 song together. 2 team will compete for the girl group song performance, while 3 group will compete for the male idol performance.
Among the contestant, Choi Yujin (CLC) was part of one of the two groups that covered BLACKPINK’s songs. When giving an interview in episode 2 “Girls Planet 999”, Yujin once confessed that she could feel that she was completely unnoticed because CLC had done a lot of powerful concepts. Therefore, Korean netizens could not help but feel disappointed and regretful when Yujin continued to perform a song with another strong concept, “How You Like That”, even though she matched the other 3 songs of Oh My Girl, TWICE and IZ*ONE more.
“Ah, I was expecting Choi Yujin to perform Oh My Girl’s ‘The Fifth Season’, but she ended up performing BLACKPINK”
“Choi Yujin once said that she joined the show because she didn’t want to follow a strong concept anymore, but here she continues to perform BLACKPINK ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So sad”
“I expected Choi Yujin to act ‘Fiesta’ or ‘Yes Or Yes’ rather than ‘How You Like That’ “
“Yujin said from the beginning that since CLC had a strong concept, she felt that she was unnoticed on stage so she felt very hurt. It seems like Yujin herself wanted to perform. a song with a bright and bright concept, it’s a pity ㅜㅜ Personally, I think Yujin would suit “The Fifth Season” or “Yes Or Yes”..”
“Yujin should be performing Oh My Girl’s song “
“Choi Yujin ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ She said she didn’t want to do strong concepts anymore..”
